Thank you for joining us virtually as we celebrated another successful campaign year with donations totallng nearly $800,000 made by you that will make a great impact on our Maui Community
through the work of our 31 Partner Agency Programs!
We are so grateful to the amazing individuals and business who have continued their support and trust in Maui United Way (MUW). Your generous contributions of time, talent and financial
support will conitnue to make an impact within Maui County for years to come. With your support throughout last year, MUW funding provided over 28,000 non-profit services, 1,214 school supply
filled backpacks, and over 2,600 toys for keiki in need during the holiday season.
Mahalo awards were given to outstanding businesses, agencies, and indiviuals who had contributed to MUW's mission of empowering our Maui Community. The award winners and their categories are
as follows: Making a Difference Award - Bendon Family Foundation; Community Champion Award - Maui Electric Company; Spirit of Caring Award - Sentry Insurance; Bank of the Year - First
Hawaiian Bank; Hotel of the Year - Marriott's Maui Ocean Club; Partner Agency of the Year - Maui Mediation Services; Campaign Award of Excellence - Enterprise Holdings; Community
Builder Award - Matson; Champions of Hope Award - Catholic Charities; Board Member of the Year - Mark Fornwall; and LIVE UNITED Award - Joyce Kawakami of Feed My Sheep.
We installed our new incoming officers, recognizing Jacob Tavares of Mahi Pono as Board Chairman, Mark Fornwall, retired, as Vice Chairman; Lalaine Manlapao of First Hawaiian Bank as
Treasurer, and Ellen Nashiwa of Maui Electric Company as Secretary.
