Makana Rosete joined the Maui United Way 'ohana in February 2015. She was born and raised on Maui, where she developed a deep connection to her community. She attended Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from San Diego State University in 2012. With a strong commitment to decreasing barriers to resources for indigenous people, Makana has dedicated the past nine years to working with Maui United Way. In her role, she focuses on bringing equity into the grant-making process, ensuring that events are inclusive, and connecting vital resources to those who need them most. Through her work, Makana strives to create a more equitable and supportive environment for all communities on Maui, Molokai, and Lāna'i.
