Sherry Yamashita joined Maui United Way in 2019 as the Office Manager and later changed her title to Director of Operations. Sherry’s success is directly tied to her experience in leading teams, implementing policies and procedures, driving operational excellence, and managing finances from payroll to managing all of the accounts for the organization and our many fiscal sponsors in fast-paced environments. Sherry has been instrumental in strengthening regulatory compliance by supporting internal and external audits.
Her passion for helping others is evident in her tireless commitment to making a positive impact in her community Sherry is also expanding her skills by taking sign language courses, reflecting her dedication to inclusivity and effective communication.
