Opening Doors Through Digital Access

The Kilohana Internet Initiative provides reliable, affordable high-speed internet to households in Kilohana recovering from the 2023 Maui wildfires. Recognizing that connectivity is now an essential utility, Maui United Way launched the initiative to help families stay connected and access vital resources.

Through affordable Starlink service, eligible households can access education, employment, healthcare, communication, and disaster recovery services, creating greater opportunities for long-term stability and success.

  • Eligible households with upgraded Starlink internet for $60 (+ taxes and fees) per month with up to 2 TB of data.

The Kilohana Community

Created in response to the 2023 Maui wildfires, the Kilohana community provides temporary housing and stability for more than 150 households in modular homes established by FEMA. As families rebuild and recover, Kilohana stands as a symbol of resilience, hope and the strength of a community that continues to move forward together.
