Something New Is Coming for Working Households. Find us this weekend @themauifair from October 1 to 4 and be among the first to learn more about an initiative we’re developing to support working households across Maui Nui.⁠ ⁠ Many local families are working hard yet still feeling the pressure of rising costs. We’re exploring a new way to help strengthen financial stability and connect households with resources that can make a meaningful difference.⁠ Stop by our booth to learn more about what’s in the works.⁠ ⁠ We’ll be there at these times:⁠ Thursday, Oct. 1: 5–9 pm⁠ Friday, Oct. 2: 5–9 pm⁠ Saturday, Oct. 3: 10 am –2 pm⁠, 5-9pm Sunday, Oct. 4: 10am-2pm, 5–9 pm⁠
One of our partners Hawaiian Community Assets has been supporting local people in becoming homeowners for over twenty years, with an emphasis on supporting Native Hawaiian communities. They offer financial education, grants and loans to assist local people build genuine wealth that can be shared and passed on to future generations. Their Financial & Housing Stability for Maui Families program offers award winning, culturally relevant financial education curriculum, HUD-certified housing counseling and affordable mortgage loans. We are so grateful for all that they do in our community.⁠ ⁠ @hawaiian_community_assets
@paupilisaturdays at Lahaina United Methodist Church is Maui Emotional Resilience Collective’s response to ongoing emotional and economic recovery needs of Maui’s community. These events nurture safe, culturally grounded and inclusive spaces for residents affected by the 2023 Maui wildfires. Join us this Saturday to engage in collective healing, storytelling and rebuilding. Recovery resources, local vendors, Maui artists and community members come together this Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 am to 5 pm.
